My interest in photography started as a child. My mother was the artist, but my dad was the camera nerd. I've been taking photos for the film & tv industry for over 20 years as a location scout, and I've had the privilege to stand in some spaces that many people will never see in person. Some doors to those spaces are not open to the general public, and some have simply been redone, repurposed or knocked down. Watching this process makes me even more aware that moments are unique and worth appreciating, and also, they just won't last. Honestly, I was never great at the act of appreciation as a young person. Taking photos of the life moments I experience now -- the details and the wide view -- is not just my way of acknowledging them but also appreciating them before they no longer exist exactly as they do in that singular instance. In this regard, photography helps me to be a more appreciative Witness to and a Collector of each of Life's moments, one frame at a time.
